Short Cooking Races 2019

Guiseppe Tortato Architetti win event at SieMatic Monte Santo

At the end of October, three architecture offices competed in the SieMatic Short Cooking Race at SieMatic Monte Santo, Garavaglia Arredamenti in Milan. In three full-functional kitchens of the style collections PURE, URBAN and CLASSIC, the three teams, each with two architects, had to prepare the specified recipe: Steamed salmon.

Finally, the team of "Guiseppe Tortato Architetti“ closely beat the teams of "D2U - Design to Users“ and "Studio Michela Genghini“: Their interpretation of the meal particularly convinced the jury of press, architecture and a professional chef. The winners could look forward to a dinner at the famous "Ristorante Berton" in Milan. Furthermore, the best architects were invited to visit SieMatic in Löhne; the trip to East Westphalia will take place at the beginning of February.

The "Short Cooking Races" are fast cooking competitions between changing Italian architectural offices. In the showroom of the organizer, they compete against each other to prepare a given meal in 30 minutes. This takes place under the "critical eyes" of a chef and invited guests from architecture and the press, who are then invited to enjoy the preparations.
