Then take part in the SieMatic ID Contest! It highlights design quality and creativity and in 2022 will once again be awarding prizes for outstanding international interior and kitchen designs. In short: thrilling and enriching individual kitchen concepts.

The SieMatic ID Contest is about to open. The terms and conditions for participation are detailed here.

1. Eligibility
The contest is open to the following participants worldwide:
•    All SieMatic sales partners, kitchen planners, interior designers and architects.
•    End customers or purchasers of a SieMatic kitchen individually customised by an authorised SieMatic dealer.

The SieMatic ID Contest only accepts participants over the age of 18.

All customised kitchen designs realised using SieMatic kitchen lines are eligible, regardless of which line, choice of materials or size. Projects must have been completed and handed over to customers between 2019 and 2022. Concepts and designs not (or not yet) realised are excluded from entering. Multiple entries with different kitchen designs are expressly permitted.

2. Submission
Submissions are permitted in English or German and are only accepted online via the website www.siematic.com/IDcontest. Submission and the potential winning of awards are free of charge.

Entrants must ensure that (1) the documents submitted for participation do not violate the rights of third parties and (2) that SieMatic is granted the rights of use specified in Point 5.

SieMatic will provide participants with an online submission module to upload their kitchen designs. In this module, they will be required to enter their data, as well as all project and competition information relevant to the SieMatic ID Contest. Communication will generally be carried out online and by email.

Participation requires the timely, correct and full submission of the following documents, in addition to other required data as stipulated in the conditions below.

Submissions are permitted in the following file formats:
•    High-quality photographs or 3D renderings as .jpg or .png (max. 5 images)
•    Dimensioned plans as .pdf (max. 5 floor plans, views, sections, etc.)
•    Max file size per file: 2-5 megabytes (MB)

Submitted images must not feature any real persons or violate any rights pertaining to third parties, in particular any industrial property rights.

The terms and conditions of participation must be accepted to validate participation.

In the event of a violation of these terms and conditions, SieMatic reserves the right to disqualify individuals from the ID Contest. Any persons who use unauthorised aids or otherwise obtain advantages through manipulation will also be excluded. In such cases, prizes may also be retrospectively withdrawn and reclaimed.

This does not constitute justifiable grounds for claiming a future contest, competition or similar.
Submitted entries must not contain links to third-party websites.

The ID Contest will be enabled through its presence on the corresponding page. This does not constitute any entitlement to participate.

The period for submissions opens on 10th June 2022 and closes on 5th August 2022.

3. Execution, evaluation criteria and jury
All kitchen designs submitted will be assigned to one of the following categories at the sole discretion of the jury, with one winner per category.

•    Best Kitchen Interior Design PURE
•    Best Kitchen Interior Design URBAN
•    Best Kitchen Interior Design CLASSIC
•    Best of the Best Kitchen Interior Design

Each kitchen design will only be assigned to one category. Multiple assignments are not possible. SieMatic reserves the right to award additional special prizes if appropriate.

To select the winners, the jury will evaluate all correctly submitted entries based on the appeal of the overall kitchen in each case. Various features will be taken into consideration, with particular emphasis on the following criteria:

creativity, integration of space, functionality (e.g. ergonomic comfort, traffic, etc.), use and harmony of colours and materials, individuality of design, interior design concept and atmosphere, emotive impact, originality, design, aesthetics, other special features.

The above order of criteria does not represent any ranking or prioritisation by the jury. The individual features and criteria for evaluation shall be weighted as deemed appropriate by the jury and at its sole discretion in accordance with Section 315 of the German Civil Code. Winners will usually be notified of the results by email. The decision of the jury regarding the winning entries is binding for all participants.

4. Prizes
Winners can look forward to receiving a special trophy – a sophisticated stela embellished with an elegant SieMatic SLX recess channel – and a personal certificate.

In addition to the award, winners will also receive the following prizes:

In the categories "Best Kitchen Interior Design PURE", "Best Kitchen Interior Design URBAN" and "Best Kitchen Interior Design CLASSIC":
The submitting kitchen planner, dealer, interior designer or architect, as well as the "contractor" or end customer, will receive a design- or event-based prize worth €1,000.

In the category "Best of the Best Kitchen Interior Design":
Here, too, the submitting kitchen planner, dealer, interior designer or architect, as well as the "contractor" or end customer, will receive a design- or event-based prize, in this case worth €2,500.

Prizes are personal to the winner and non-transferable. They are neither redeemable for cash nor combinable with other discounts or promotions. 

5. Rights of use
Each participant must comply with the applicable legislation and protect the rights of third parties. In particular, participants are prohibited from violating the rights of third parties, such as trademark, copyright and naming rights, and from using any other illegal content in the ID Contest.

With submission, participants grant SieMatic free, irrevocable and non-exclusive rights unlimited by region, place or time to use their submitted entries and transferred files for known and unknown kinds of use. This particularly includes the reproduction and right to copy, distribute and edit the content in public and corporate print media, on SieMatic websites and social media profiles, as well as within the context of marketing campaigns for relevant SieMatic dealers.

6. Liability
SieMatic shall only accept liability for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence by SieMatic or a vicarious agent, or through the violation of material contractual obligations. This limitation of liability does not apply to damages arising from injury to life, body and/or health.

7. Miscellaneous
The decision of the jury is final.

For all other matters, the general terms and conditions and privacy policy of SieMatic apply. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Sales Convention and the conflict of laws provisions. Where applicable, the court of jurisdiction is Löhne, the SieMatic headquarters.
